We left the castle by 8am ish... arrived at our hotel in Rome by 11:30am... the hotel with a quad room on the alley that it is on.... the tour guide Carlo was amazing and had us hit absolutely Everything there is to see in Rome in 8 hours! We returned to our alley door room and had a bite to eat, and headed back out to see the Coliseum at night.
